PLOT: Diana Prince was a princess of the Amazons before she received the title of 'Wonder Woman'. Raised in the hidden islands of Themyscira, Diana was prepared to wind up into an indomitable warrior to save the world from her own brother, Ares, the God of War. When Captain Steve Trevor crashes his plane along the coasts of Themyscira, Diana rescues him. After he reveals his true identity and tells her about the huge war raging outside the island, Diana decides to accompany him on his dangerous mission to protect the world by killing Ares with her 'Godkiller'.
REVIEW: Directed by Patty Jenkins, whose last creation “Monster” was an Oscar-winning film, “Wonder Woman” has not failed to live up to the expectations of DC Comics fans. It is a superhero film starring a female comicbook character, where an unsurpassable warrior is portrayed fighting for the world against evil.
The Israeli actress Gal Gadot has shown an outstanding performace in playing the role of a self-reliant and graceful warrior. Her work in the film is absolutely unparalleled and she is exactly how you want a big-screen Wonder Woman to be. On the other hand, Chris Pine shows his remarkable work by playing the role of a selfless man who is ready to give up anything for the freedom of his people. All the emotions in the movie feel real and the story itself is uncommonly well-structured. There is love, humour, excitement and everything else you could expect from a superhero film. If compared with Marvel films like Iron Man and Thor which have never casted a primary female protagonist before, “Wonder Woman” outplayed them all.
